Quit smoking (Kin-en) program
Numerous epidemiological studies have pointed out that smokers are more likely to have certain critical illness such as cancer, heart disease, cerebral stroke, emphysema, periodontal disease, etc. In recent years, it has been found that smoking increases the risk of onset of metabolic syndrome and diabetes, promotes arteriosclerosis and it is more likely to cause ischemic heart diseases such as myocardial infarction, angina pectoris and cerebral stroke. In recent years, efforts to quit smoking have become more active against smoking, which has an important impact on health. Based on such situation, our Health Insurance Association has also organized a Quit smoking program.
Those who keep on saying, "I want to quit smoking but I can't stop", "I don't have the confidence to quit simply on my own", etc. please try this challenge without fail. Further, non-smoking outpatients who really wish to "Quit" should be strong willed till the end. Therefore, it is necessary to make a "Quit smoking declaration" at the time of checkup.
